Read the Notice of Change

We are pleased to announce, “it’s official”! Effective January 31, 2024, Wheatland Bank became a division of Glacier Bank, one of the most respected and admired regional banks in the country. Glacier Bancorp is headquartered in Kalispell, Montana and operates 17 divisions throughout eight states, with more than 200 branches. Glacier’s unique community banking business model provides each of their bank divisions the autonomy to operate in the manner that makes them successful in their local markets, supported by the added strength and resources of a thriving, $28 billion-asset publicly traded regional bank.

By joining the Glacier family of banks, Wheatland Bank will cement our legacy and future as a community bank, strengthen our position throughout eastern and central Washington, and create more value and opportunity for all stakeholders. As Wheatland customers you’ll benefit from deeper lending resources, enhanced technology, new products, and expanded services. Within our branches, you can expect the same great personal service from the same bankers who you know and trust. Our local leadership will remain the same and we will continue to invest in the local communities we serve.

The Glacier family of banks already includes North Cascades Bank, headquartered in Chelan, Washington, with nine branches and approximately 100 employees. In March of 2024, the North Cascades division will combine with the new Wheatland Bank division. After combining the two bank divisions and converting Wheatland’s systems to the Glacier platform, the new larger division will operate under the Wheatland Bank, Division of Glacier Bank name, with an expanded branch network of over 20 locations, 250 employees and approximately $1.6 billion in assets. I will continue to lead the new larger and expanded Wheatland Bank division as President and Chief Executive Officer and couldn’t be more pleased about this strategic partnership and excited for our future.

No action is required on your part at this time. In February, we sent you an information packet outlining the systems conversion that will take place in March of 2024. The conversion will allow you to reap all the benefits offered by Glacier Bank. Significant planning is already underway to ensure a smooth transition. Once the conversion is complete, you will enjoy full access not only to Wheatland’s branches, but to all Glacier Bank division branches and ATMs across Montana, Idaho, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada. You’ll also gain access to 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs worldwide via the Allpoint network.

In the meantime, we have enclosed important notices for you related to Wheatland Bank becoming a division of Glacier Bank. This includes a new Privacy Notice and a new FDIC deposit insurance disclosure that applies to your accounts. We are here to help answer any questions that you may have – please contact us by phone or in person at your local branch.

We greatly appreciate your business and had your best interests in mind all along as we planned for Wheatland’s long-term future. We are excited about the benefits this merger will bring to our customers and are very grateful for the opportunity to continue serving you as your trusted local bank. Our commitment to building Relationships You Can Count On remains unchanged as we expand to better serve your needs for years to come.

Sincerely,

Susan M. Horton, CPA Chairman,
CEO and President
