Residential Loan Specialist

The Residential Loan Specialist works as a part of the Home Loan Center team.  The position includes assisting with booking loans, mailing statements, funding/purchasing loans, adverse file review, pre-closing quality control and pre-underwriting appraisal review.   The best candidate would have knowledge of mortgage lending and experience with Encompass.  Applicant must have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, be able to function effectively and professionally while under stress and meeting deadlines and have strong organizational, prioritization and problem solving skills.  Must be a team player as will be cross-trained to offer back-up support to the front-end team who manage the initial loan disclosures and loan processing tasks.

Underwriter

The Underwriter provides support to Commercial Loan Officers by preparing loan documents, analyzing customer financial statements, tax returns, budgets, and other financial data. Performs ratio, industry benchmark, historical, and budget to actual comparative analysis.  Prepares loan reports from which loan decisions are based upon and performs underwriting analysis.  Provides quality customer service through friendly, professional, and efficient service to customers and outside associates.  Assures effective and efficient administration of installment, commercial and real estate loan collateral files by the timely and accurate processing of all documents and entries, which are in compliance with bank, State, and Federal regulations.  Assists commercial lenders with credit analysis and credit approval. 

Successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years experience in Commercial Lending.  Must have strong interpersonal skills with excellent credit, problem solving and decision making skills.  Must possess a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.

Residential Mortgage Underwriter

This position will underwrite mortgage loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness as well as for adherence to secondary market guidelines.  This includes reviewing credit, asset and income documentation. The Underwriter will communicate with processing and sales staff to ensure accurate and complete files for making loan decisions. Position is office based.

Minimum qualifications: FHA DE and VA SAR are preferred. Minimum of three years underwriting and/or processing required. Outstanding communication and attention to detail. High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Loan Processor - Commercial

This position is responsible for the growth of first mortgage production by developing leadership direction, action plans and initiatives that result in staff performance meeting individual and organizational goals. This position assists loan applicants and bank clients with mortgage loan products and proactively solicits mortgage business in home loans. This individual also directs the work of the Mortgage Loan Originators and assists in establishing and monitoring goals, implementing policies and procedures, training, and assisting them with the development of business opportunities.

Successful applicant must have a minimum of 5 years mortgage sales experience, a sound understanding of risk management concepts, including underwriting, loan audit, and fraud avoidance. Experience in training loan originators. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements applicable to first mortgage lending. Must be able to adapt to market, regulatory, agency and investor requirement changes. Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of success in a leadership position. Excellent written and verbal and interpersonal communications skills to effectively work with members and coworkers. Proactive approach to workload; ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Must possess initiative. Must have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
