Sales Manager - Residential
This position is responsible for the growth of first mortgage production by developing leadership direction, action plans and initiatives that result in staff performance meeting individual and organizational goals. This position assists loan applicants and bank clients with mortgage loan products and proactively solicits mortgage business in home loans. This individual also directs the work of the Mortgage Loan Originators and assists in establishing and monitoring goals, implementing policies and procedures, training, and assisting them with the development of business opportunities.
Successful applicant must have a minimum of 5 years mortgage sales experience, a sound understanding of risk management concepts, including underwriting, loan audit, and fraud avoidance. Experience in training loan originators. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements applicable to first mortgage lending. Must be able to adapt to market, regulatory, agency and investor requirement changes. Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of success in a leadership position. Excellent written and verbal and interpersonal communications skills to effectively work with members and coworkers. Proactive approach to workload; ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Must possess initiative. Must have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
