Wheatland Bank Raises over $10,000  for Washington Wildfire Relief

(Spokane, WA) – Wheatland Bank is pleased to announce that together with their Board of Directors, employees and customers, they have raised over $10,000 for the American Red Cross Washington Wildfire relief efforts.  The Board of Directors authorized the bank-wide fundraising campaign and agreed to match contributions made between September 23 and October 23 by their employees and/or customers dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000.  At the close of the campaign, the Bank had received $5,840.89 in donations.  With the matching donation of the Bank, a total of $10,840.89 has been donated to the American Red Cross Washington Wildfire relief efforts.   

"As a local independent community bank, we have seen firsthand the devastation and hardship that the wildfire disasters in eastern Washington have caused our communities and we wanted to help those in need.  We are  pleased by the response that we have had to our fundraising campaign, and also stand ready to help local businesses and families through our financial relief loan program." said Susan M. Horton, Wheatland Bank president and CEO. 

In addition to their fundraising efforts, Wheatland Bank is also offering low interest, financial relief loans to those living within a 60 mile radius of their Chelan, Wenatchee, Wilbur and Davenport branches through the December 31, 2015.  The loans are intended to help businesses and families with the immediate needs that they may have as a result of the losses and hardships they are facing due to the fires in their area.   Loan approvals are subject to the Bank's credit underwriting and Wildfire Relief Lending Program terms and conditions.  To learn more about the Wildfire Relief Lending Program, visit any of Wheatland Bank branch locations listed above or call 509.242.5626.
